Spring 2026 Candidate Deadlines

  • December 25, 2025 - Deadline (5:00 p.m.) for incumbents not seeking reelection to file Notification of Noncandidacy (EL-163) with the filing officer (Village Clerk).
    • Failure to notify will extend nomination paper deadline 72 hours for that office
  • January 6, 2026 - Deadline (5:00 p.m.) for all candidates to file nomination papers and declarations of candidacy, for the 2026 Spring Election with the filing officer (Village Clerk).
  • January 6, 2026 - Deadline (5:00 p.m.) for new candidates to file Campaign Registration Statements for the 2026 Spring Election with the filing officer (Village Clerk).
  • January 9, 2026 - Deadline (4:30 p.m.) for all judicial candidates to file Statement of Economic Interests with Wisconsin Ethics Commission.
  • January 15, 2026 - (5:00 p.m.) Deadline for incumbent candidates to file January Continuing Campaign Finance Report or Statement of No Activity for reporting period 07/01/2025-12/31/2025 with the filing officer (Village Clerk).
  • February 9, 2026 - (5:00 p.m.) Deadline for all candidates to file Spring Pre-Primary Campaign Finance Report for reporting period 01/01/2026-02/02/2026 with the filing officer (Village Clerk).
  • February 17, 2026 - Spring Primary Election Day
  • March 30, 2026 - (5:00 p.m.) Deadline for all candidates to file Spring Pre-Election Campaign Finance Report for reporting period 02/03/2026-03/23/2026 with the filing officer (Village Clerk).
  • April 7, 2026 - Spring Election Day
