The Village of Caledonia now offers residents the ability to opt out of commercial solicitations at their homes. Once registered, direct sellers are prohibited from approaching your property for sales
How it works- Enrollment: Residents who prefer not to receive commercial solicitations can add their property to the registry.
- Registry Maintenance: The Village Clerk maintains and updates the list weekly.
- Validation Period: The Do Not Solicit Registry will be valid for one calendar year, from January 1 to December 31. You must reapply annually to remain on the list.
- Resident Notification: In November, the Clerk's Office will email reminders to residents on the current list, encouraging reapplication for the upcoming year.
Regulations for Direct Sellers
- Solicitation Hours: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM.
- Compliance: Direct sellers must review list and not approach homes on registry.
- Violations: Report any infractions to the Village Clerk or local authorities.
