Department Narrative:
The Finance Department is responsible for all the daily accounting and treasurer duties based on the Government Accepted Accounting Principles required by the State. These duties include, but are not limited to, general accounting as well as budgeting and forecasting, collecting property taxes, State and Federal required reporting and capital project financial oversight. The Village Board works with the Finance Department through the Finance Committee.
Property taxes are collected at the Village Hall from the time tax bills are mailed through January 31st of each year. Payments can also be made at select Johnson Bank and Tri City Bank locations. Payments made after January 31st are collected by the Racine County Treasurer.
