All New Residential Dwellings

As of 11/19/2019 the Village of Caledonia is now using the State of Wisconsin Online Building Permit System for all new home applications.  Once your permit application to the State has been accepted, provide the following to:

• New Home requirements:

  • Village of Caledonia Building Permit Application 

  • Two sets of house plans to scale (submit PDF to ewaege@caledonia-wi.gov and mobrien@caledonia-wi.gov)

  • Two energy worksheets - acquired from the heating contractor (submit PDF to ewaege@caledonia-wi.gov and mobrien@caledonia-wi.gov)

  • Two scale copies of a parcel survey. Surveys must include setbacks, elevations, and drainage plan. (submit PDF to ewaege@caledonia-wi.gov and mobrien@caledonia-wi.gov)

  • Copy of Port-a-Potty contract (§15-1-31)

  • Specifications for a pre-fabricated fireplace, if applicable

  • If a mound system is needed, a sanitary permit from Racine County Planning & Development is required 

  • Site Grading Certificate Of Compliance

  • Erosion Control Maintenance Agreement 

  • Footing and Culvert Certification 

  • Land Disturbance permit application
