Events and Sales

Non-Intoxicating Beverage License: This license is required where non-intoxicating beverages (ex., NA beer) are sold or consumed for buisnesses that hold a Class A or Class B liiquor license. Soda only does not require a license.

Cigarette and Tobacco License: This license is required for any cigarette, tobacco, and electronic vaping device sales. All requests are subject to a background check.

  • Every member of business must also fill out a CTV-101. For new businesses or when appointing a new agent a CTV-102 must ALSO be filled out. Contact the Clerk's office if you have questions.

For Liquor License Holders Only - Special Event Permit: This permit is required for an alcohol licensed premise that seeks outside amplified music.

Festival Permit (General Public Event): This permit is required for an event that holds over 750 people in attendance ($100 Permit Fee), is a non-alcohol licensed premise, and seeks outside amplified music. For events under 750 people the application is still required, but there is no permit fee.

Street Use Permit: This permit is required for street closures for an event. Application must be approved by the Police and Fire Departments and DPW prior to being issued.

Fireworks Permit: This permit is required to either sell or discharge fireworks.

  • Permits for discharge (display) may only be issued to a public authority, park board, fair association, civic organization, amusement park or agricultural producer.
  • Permits for sale require a conditional use permit, which must be obtained through the Zoning Department before applying for the fireworks permit.

Transient Merchants License:  This license is required for door-to-door solicitations. All requests are subject to a background check.

Amplified Music This permit is required for outdoor music events that do not fall under the Special Event permits. Example, outdoor party at a private residence.
