The commission is comprised of four (4) commissioners and one (1) Village Board Trustee who shall serve as a liaison to the Village Board, who are residents of the Village and reside within one (1) of the utility districts. The terms are staggered three (3) year terms, commencing May 1st and are appointed by the Village Board.
This Commission governs Caledonia Utility District subject to the general control of and supervision of the Village Board. The commission is responsible for preparing a proposed budget for the district in accord with Sec. 65.90, Wis. Stats. The commission shall keep books of account and audit utility expenses at its regular meetings. The commission shall have authority to enter into contracts as are necessary or convenient for the management and operations of the district sometimes subject to prior Village Board approval. The commission shall have the authority to administer and set rules and regulations for the operation of the district and the delivery of services within the district as are authorized by law. The commission may also adopt rules for its governance and may be subject to Village Board approval. This Committee meets regularly once each month and special meetings if necessary.
