The committee members shall be comprised of the President of the Village Board, one other Village Trustee and five (5) citizens, at least three (3) of whom shall be residents of the Village. Each member shall serve for a three (3) year term, except that of those community members first appointed two (2) shall serve for one (1) year, and three (3) for two (2) years. Each term commencing on May 1st.

The purpose of the CDA is to carry out qualified redevelopment projects, and act as the agent of the Village in planning and carrying out community development programs and activities approved by the Village Board and the Village President under the federal housing and community development act of 1974. If you are interested in being part of the CDA and have sufficient ability and experience in the fields of urban renewal, community development, and housing, and will encourage well-planned, integrated, stable, safe and healthful neighborhoods, the provision of healthful homes, a decent living environment, adequate places of employment for the people of the Village and an increase in the general property tax base of the village, please submit the provided an application to the Village Clerk at 5043 Chester Lane, Racine, WI 53402 or email jhoeffert@caledonia-wi.gov
